Four Months Today

Happy four month birthday sweet boy! Sollie is getting so big. His sweet smiles and giggles have turned to full on belly laughs and sweet little songs. "BWAH" is his favorite word. He sported the world's tiniest mohawk after I lotioned his head ,and he was a hit at our yoga class. Sophie continues to make his world exciting and provides endless entertainment.

A year ago today.....

I had just finished the most stressful week of my life, presenting my thesis to a panel of faculty and a room full of peers, and had finished up a years worth of paintings. But more importantly today is the anniversary of when I found out we were pregnant for the second time. A year later, I am 50,000 in debt(yay for art school) and have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy.

Seven years ago today, you changed my life forever. It is an honor being your mama. I am so proud of the little lady you have become. Happy birthday sweet girl!!!

Here are some pictures from our spring break. We went up and did some exploring in Washington. We always talk about going up to Washington but usually end up staying in Oregon
are going somewhere we have been a dozen times.It was fun,and it is nice going somewhere new. I think in the last few years we have used up all the places in Oregon we could go within the two days Ben has off. Some day we would like to see southern Oregon, around the Rouge river area and Crater Lake....and maybe even... duh duh duh...Northern California! Anyway the trip was pretty fun despite the fact that Ben and I were both pretty sick with colds and I hiked around wearing Sollie despite the fact. We found some pretty great swimming spots ( note the later pictures) but not the best spot for little kids..which means I won't be swimming there myself anytime soon. . The lake we camped at in the top three pictures was nice and pretty small,and it must have a ton of fish cause there were lots of guys fishing. Dad,if you read this....It was your kind of place. All the places we drove through and all the gorgeous cabins and homes on top of the river I could see either of my brothers settling down in. Although I am afraid we will probably always be out on the west coast alone. (SIGH)
