Sweet Sophie

What's miss Sophie been up to? Well, I found Lola in the bathroom like this(see above) the other day. I thought it was the sweetest thing,I had a good laugh.
She has also been building faerie houses in the forest, and finding nature treasures like the amazing leaf above.
She is also really into comics and has been creating some beautiful drawings that I shall have to show off in the near future.
She is doing fantastic in school and we are really proud of her, and she enjoys teaching Solomon about the world.
Sophie,Solomon and I have been taking nightly moon walks. It has been a great way to talk with Sophie( Sollie usually passes out right away). We talk about about the moon and the stars, and try and find constellations and planets. This weekend the moon was supposed to be the biggest of the year, unfortunately it was cloudy so we didn't get a chance to see it. We are hoping to get onto the routine of a "girls afternoon"soon. We don't get to spend nearly enough time together one on one.

Goodbye hair!

Well,I have been talking about it for months and I finally worked up the guts to do it! Actually I made Ben cut my ponytail off . 15 inches will be donated to Locks Of love,so my hair will continue on as part of a wig for a child who needs it.
It is much easier to take care of now.My long hair was just in the way and becoming a knotted mess.I don't have much, if any time these days for myself, sadly even the time it takes to brush butt legnth hair. I feel liberated.Time for a fresh start!

Happy First Birthday Solomon!

Well , it's official, my baby is ONE YEAR OLD! Why is it so hard for mama's when their babies turn one? We had a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family and neighbors, thanks so much to everyone who came to spend this special day with us. (sorry the picture are so dark, I hate usuing a flash) I just had to get a post in while there are still a few hours left to the first day of January 2009.I have been cleaning like a mad woman for days, and it feels really good to sit in the messy aftermath of the party.
Solomon is such a wonderful little man. Like I always tell him,"If I could snarfle anyone into my soul, it would be you.
