Joining Ginny again this week for the Yarn Along.
First off, I finished the Knitted cocoon I was knitting last week and I am about to drown you in adorable, yet realistic pictures from our spur of the moment photo shoot. In the magazine the newborn models are sleeping peacefully in their knit cocoons, while my babe is wide awake and wrestling with hers. So funny. I must try again with a sleeping babe.....but these pictures are keepers just the same :)
Currently I am finish a pair of tiny baby sized legwarmers that I started back before babe was born. Just in the mood for something quick and easy and it feels good to finish a project that has been sitting around. Nalah probably wont need them much as the weather is getting hot already, but it's always chilly in the morning when we are walking Sophie to school. Me, I wear them year round. They are great with skirts and so easy to take off and put on in the summer when needed. Great for camping and evening outings...hmm now I am thinking I need a pair now.
Currently reading the Dr.Sears Vaccine Book for the hundreth time as Nalah is due for her first visit to a doctor. We have been seeing Midwives up till now. Also there has been an outbreak of whopping cough in Washington our neighbor to the north, and that worries me a bit.
I feel like I have decided then I read a fact or what the vaccine is made of and I am back to square one. That is why I have read this book so many times, It is very neutral on the topic.
Also I have had The Dirty Life by Kristin Kimball checked out and have renewed it several times already and am still in the first chapter. My mind is abuzz these days. I am going to finish.... it I want to find the time to read....but eating ice cream and watching movies until I fall asleep has won hands down these last few weeks.
But to my credit, I am parenting three all week on my own and once they are finally in bed my brain is fried.
What are you knitting?

That cocoon (and the baby in it) is the cutest thing ever!
How absolutely gorgeous! So beautiful.
What a cutie! Great knitting!
I think baby knits are the most special kind of knits and getting to see yours in use is so wonderful! She is a doll!
Have a happy day.
What great pictures! I love The Dirty Life. I am about 3/4 of the way done. I really have to get back to it. Vaccines are such a difficult decision. Back when I had my daughter you just got them - no questions asked. We were lucky and had no reactions, but if I were to do it all again, I don't know what my decision would be.
that cocoon has got to be the best thing i've seen in weeks! big love. and, it inspires me to get something similar going for my little due-this-fall babe.
What a little beauty!!! I haven't peeked in awhile and am surprised she's already 2 months old!!! Goodness!!! As for the reading, we are also undecided about vaccines. I have always thought of doing a few "essentials" once they are all 7 years old or so, but then my middle child was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a year ago and that has changed my outlook a lot. We live in a "cluster" area for unvaccinated children and my duaghter getting whooping cough could mean serious problems. It is such a personal, and tough decision. Follow your gut instinct, your heart instinct, and then weigh in that head instinct. Perhaps then the decision will be easier. (Let me know if that works...hee hee).

The cocoon is so cute!! (And especially the baby in it!) :)
Thanks for your comment today. Yes, I am on ravelry. I'm new there so I'm still learning how it works. :)
I'm feeling so cheated that my currently crazy life has prevented me from visiting otherwise I would have seen these sweetest-photos-ever sooner. Oh my, she's sweet and the cocoon is so cute. Love love love.
