A new hat......

I had to make myself a new hat because sadly I lost my Blume hat :(
I loved that hat so much and I think I may be inspired enough to make another but that hat was kind of a pain in the hind end to knit. Sock weight yarn on tiny circular needles.....well, you have to be in the right mood.
I was out looking for inspiration a few weeks ago and came across this pattern by Lisa Gentry called the "Cabled Classic". It was so much fun to knit, I loved all the little cables. It knit it up very quickly in about two days. It is keeping me warm as I ponder tackling another Blume.

What a lovely hat. The colour is really nice too. Sorry to hear you have lost your other hat. May you find the strength to knit another. Jacinta

Great new hat! Sorry to hear about your Blume, though, I admire it every time I see your pic...But sock yarn on tiny needles - yeah, that takes a mood alright!

oh i love it! and it only took 2 days? wow...
hope you find the other one again!

my sister had knitted some pulse warmers for me and i thought i lost them. 2 weeks later they showed up on the side of the curb, drenched and dirty. i had put them on my lap and lost them getting out of the car to pick up the empty trash bin. thank goodness for washing machines, now the pulse warmers are as good as new again!
