Hunting river agates...

Something happens to me when I get near water....it doesn't matter if it is the ocean, a river, a lake, or a creek. I have a serious rock hunting habit. Thanks to my dear husband for his patience because as soon as we hit the beach, I am off leaving him to chase the kids. Thank goodness for him too because Solomon has outgrown the Ergo for the long extended stooping and standing that is required for hunting agates.
Agates...agates are what I am after. I am like an eager treasure hunting child when it comes to finding agates. I warn that the windows of my home when I am an old lady will be filled with jars and jars of my precious stones (That is what I do with them after I find them, jar them, and window them..he he).
Something about rock hunting is so meditative for me. I love being near water the Pisces in me craves water. When ever we leave the city to explore nature we always head towards water...the ocean.. or a river. Although there are several rivers in our city come to think of it.
I just wanted to share some of my treasures from this past weekend, a weekend with incredibly warm sunny weather and two separate trips to nearby rivers(outside the city).
For more info on agates and other Oregon beach treasures look here.......and here for my past agate posts.

I felt like I was reading my own thoughts in this post! Hello fellow rock hunter! : ) I wish we lived closer to each other! I have wooden bowls of rocks and jars of white stones at our house. I would *love* to see your collection all together! The agates are gorgeous, I will be on the lookout : )
