Yarn Along...Long overdue

It has been a while since I posted about knitting projects but I am feeling inspired after the Flock and Fiber Festival this past weekend. Lately I have been spending way too much time browsing patterns on Ravelry instead of actually knitting. So I am Yarning Along with Ginny today. I can't wait to see what you are all knitting and reading, follow the link for inspiration and to find out how you can join along.

Here my big messy basket of current knitting  I am working on:(clockwise from bottom left)
Ribbed baby jacket for Nalah, five pairs of fingerless  toddler mitts that I need to weave in the ends for and ship off to my friends store in Wisconsin, and the dark pink project on the right is going to be a "Raspberry Berret" for my cat. I saw THIS pattern on Ravelry and had to make one. I am sure if I can get either of my cats to model it when I am done it will require a post all its own. I am hoping they will keep it on long enough for a photo shoot. I have had the Prince song stuck in my head for weeks now. He, He.

I just started reading Any Bitter Thing by Monica Wood. I am only on chapter 4 and enjoying it so far. I squeeze in a few minutes of reading while I lay down with Nalah for her quick nap in the afternoons and for about 5 minutes at night before I fall asleep. I wish I could find more time to read. With the wet, dark, windy weather we have had for  the last several days, I would like nothing more than to stay in bed with a book all day.
I also wanted to show off the cute book I found at the thrift store the other day.

I like anything with goats on it but a vintage HEIDI book with goats on it, how could I resist. Maybe being named Heidi is why I have such a horrible goat addiction in the first place. Thanks Mom.
